Lichtung Woldererhof is situated on the edge of Casateia, a quaint mountain village not far from Vipiteno. The farm is right by the Mareta brook, with its beautiful footpaths. The German name of the village, Gasteig – which is also the name of the farm’s owners – comes from the Middle High German term "gâstic", which means "steep climb". But there is no such thing at our farm. Gentle slopes and lush meadows lined with fragrant woods are all there is. This is a place made for rest, relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. You can look forward to memorable mountain hikes, exciting bike and ski tours, and scenic toboggan runs and snowshoeing trails. Despite its secluded position, Lichtung Woldererhof is anything but isolated: a one-stop shop and two fine restaurants are just around the corner!

    A summer of exploration

In South Tyrol, the custom of spending the summer months in private retreats in the mountains dates back to the 19th century. Here in Casateia, it’s easy to see why. Let our mountains refresh, inspire and seduce you. You can take long walks in the woods, challenge yourself to climb up a mountain or take a bike tour, or simply enjoy some sweet idleness… like our farm cat, lazing the day away in the sun. The glade is a wonderful place to rest, and if you need refreshment, you can take a dip in the pool nearby or have a picnic by the Mareta brook.
