The Racines and Vipiteno area offers the opportunity to experience first-hand South Tyrolean tradition and culture, a unique blend of Austrian and Italian language, food and lifestyle. There are events all year round, such as the lantern parties in summer and the Christmas market during Advent. Autumn is the perfect season for a shopping spree in the historical centre of Vipiteno, where you can find – among other things – the perfect outfits for the winter season’s ski openings and season finales, which feature performances by several international musicians. Speaking of music, springtime events include the Blues Days festival and various events organised by the local brass band and Vipiteno town band, as well as an Easter festival. There is also plenty to enjoy for food lovers, from the hearty dumpling festival to the healthy yogurt festival.
